  1. Can you tell me when they will start taking reservations for September 2013 ?
    Thank you.
    Douglas Putnam

    • Dear Douglas,
Thank you for your kind post and interest towards The Gritti Palace. We should start taking reservations by May 2012. We will keep you updated on the blog. Best regards, Paolo Lorenzoni, General Manager

  2. Please, please, please, keep the character, elegance and charm of this remarkable hotel! Don’t go the way of other great historic hotels and end up with a minimalist or ‘latest fashion’ look that will be out of date in eighteen months time. Keep the marble, the fabrics, the light fittings, the furniture and the pictures. Keep the staff in traditional dress. Do improve the plumbing!

  3. I have always thought the Gritti the most magical place on earth. The decor was serendipitous and exquisite. Please don’t homogenize this outstanding icon of Venetian style by succumbing to some Starwood idea of what this hotel should be. As part of the original CIGA group, the Gritti has always been a dream that never succumbed to the mode of the moment. It’s not a hotel that belongs under the thumb of a corporate ideal. Walking through the doors of the Gritti has been, always, a joyful, incomparable experience. The
Grand in Firenze had less to lose than your world famous icon…but it was ruined in the reincarnation as a St. Regis. I beg the sane fate is not perpetrated on the Gritti. Your exquisite jewel isn’t a mass market “all things to all people” hotel. Please, please leave the idiosyncratic style and let the true connesours stay your loyal customers.

All my best to Mr. Schultz, Mr. Lorenzoni and the entire, believed staff.

  4. I tried to book on your web site and the Starwood website, to no avail, for the dates that correspond with your comments above. I’m having Gritti withdrawal. I’d love to come back as soon as possible.

  5. We will be back in June2013 between 7th – 15. We can’t wait to be there again. Lucille Spagnuolo

  6. Dear Signor Lorenzoni,
We are so happy we can book our stay at you hotel for next June 2013! We have gone to the Gritti Palace since 1996, only missing years when our grandchildren were born. Our favorite rooms were 121 or 221. Are they the same as the Giglio premier ones? Please let us know.
